The National Science Center has published the results of the Sonatina 4 competition, among the applications that received funding was the project of Dr. Małgorzata Kajzer. Comparative study of Hellenistic and early Roman fine and semi-fine ceramics from Nea Paphos and Kourion in Cyprus, which will be carried out at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The implementation of the project can be followed on the Polish Archeology in Cyprus portal.
Project on modeling the urban landscape of ancient Paphos financed by the National Science Center
The National Science Center announced today that it will finance research on the urban planning of the ancient city of Nea Paphos. The MA-P Maloutena and Agora in the Paphos urban plan: Modeling the urban landscape of the capital of Hellenistic and Roman Cyprus was submitted to NCN by a consortium of three units: the Jagiellonian University, the Center of Mediterranean Archeology of the University of Warsaw and the Warsaw University of Technology. It will be carried out over the next two years under the leadership of Prof. Ewdoksia Papuci-Władyka.
