Polish Archaeology in Cyprus (PAC) is gathering researchers who have spent a large part of their lives conducting research in Cyprus. Polish traditions date back to the 1960s, when the doyen of the Polish school of Mediterranean archeology, Prof. Kazimierz Michałowski, began researching the University of Warsaw in the ancient capital of the island – Nea Paphos. Since then, dozens of researchers from many universities in Poland have conducted, and are still conducting their research on the civilization of one of the most interesting islands in the Mediterranean Sea. Although the best-known research still revolves around Nea Paphos, the interests of Polish archaeologists, architects, historians, epigraphers, numismatists, and finally representatives of science, have long gone beyond Western Cyprus. Therefore, we would like to propose a platform that will bring together all Polish researchers working on the archeology, history, and culture of Cyprus, so as to strengthen the global perception of Polish researcherss in this field.
